of best practices for UI and UX app design and brainstorm for improved functionalities

of user experience evaluation by setting up fictional but realistic race scenarios

Exploration

1.

Wireframing

2.

Several options were explored to design the different app functionalities and design an improved user experience.

Usability testing

3.

Participants took part in scenario-based testing providing feedback and generating quantitative metrics to evaluate the usability and performance of different UI elements and user flows.

Results

The final proposal for re-designing Raceclocker features the voice memo technology. The user logs times by speaking out loud near the phone and tapping anywhere on the screen.

This innovative concept allows users to keep an eye on the race and confidently time participants, improving timing accuracy and enhancing the overall user experience.

Personal learnings

  • design of interactive prototypes with Figma, Adobe XD and ProtoPie

  • lead the organisation, design, execution and analysis of user tests

  • successfully conduct a 6-months project group project remotely
